Sketch 5: HTML landing page
Create by hand a landing page for your website using two files: index.html and style.css. It should look something like this example, though you should feel free to customize the appearance in whatever ways you’d like. Note that you can open that example page and view the source code in your browser for assistance.
You might want to download a text editor such as Sublime Text, but you can use TextEdit or whatever is on your computer that will allow you to save files as plain text.
Because you have a free WordPress.com account for your site, you won’t be able to you upload your html and css files directly to your own site. Therefore, email them to me and I’ll load them on my server. Once they are published there, you can create a link to them in a post.
Write a paragraph or two reflecting on what you have learned from creating a simple pair of html and css files.
